Who Are We?

Nick and Di have been married for 20-odd years and have owned the farm with Tim for 7 years. Nick and Tim have made furniture for Nelson Mandela, Jamie Oliver and more recently, a throne for the Venda King. They have been creating handmade and bespoke reclaimed furniture since 1994. They prefer to use materials that are sustainably sourced, and have the lowest environmental impact.

The farm is so unique and too beautiful not to share – so a few years ago, they converted an old historical cottage into a B’nB. The are able to accommodate 8 people in the cottage, as well as 3 people in the Orange Grove. There are plenty of beautiful spots for camping.

All three of them are passionate about nature and the environment. They grow a range of marijuana for recreation and medicinal use. They have 6 dogs, a magical cat, countless chickens, a handful of geese and ducks. Their favorite game is Quib – go visit, you’ll learn the game and enjoy many lazy afternoons tossing quibs across the Quib court.

NATURE

At River Valley Farm on the Moordkuil River we not only live close to nature, we strive to serve nature as best we can.

River Valley Farm was previously known as Sylvantutch. It was time for a re-branding, so they selected a name everyone could spell!  Other than the name change, nothing has changed.  The spirit of Sylvantutch lives on at River Valley Farm.
